HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. supplies a highly integrated series of professional engineering and quality assurance/quality control services worldwide that span the steel, concrete, paint, mechanical, and construction industries.
HRV is experiencing growth! HRV has recently been awarded five (5) major Projects in the US, and we are very excited about the growth it is providing. HRV is currently seeking to add a full-time Project Manager to our Steel Services team. This individual will have a multitude of responsibilities relating to the provision of structural steel fabrication inspection services. Specifically, the selected candidate will assign and manage multiple field inspectors at multiple remote locations, with shifting schedules. The ability to manage personnel with the correct certifications and qualifications aligned with the scope of work is essential to this position.
This position is located in Moon Township, PA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Resource Management: Assign and manage field inspectors based on client requests for inspection
- Manage client relationships and communications
- Manage HRV projects and client contract requirements
- Maintain inspector schedules based on overall project needs through service orders, training inspectors on client systems and HRV requirements, inspector scheduling, review and approval of timesheets and expenses, review of client reports, and periodic in-person inspector supervisory visits, and participating in daily Project Manager meetings
- Manage and monitor project budgets
- Contract administration
- Participate in Business Development activities through periodic client visits, client capture planning and related internal meetings, external networking events, go/no-go discussions, project interviews, and proposals (including serving as the lead for pricing project budgets)
- Oversee inspector performance
- Review/approve field inspection reports
- Participate in RFP/proposal creation
- Perform technical reviews and quality inspections
- Coordinate recruitment needs with Human Resources and serve as an active participant in the hiring process
- Participate in the HRV safety committee
Qualifications and Skills:
- Exhibit HRV core values through communication, exemplary client service, proactive work ethic, timeliness, quality, and foster great internal and external client relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Quality-minded, detail oriented, and highly organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and ability to learn new software/systems
Education/Background:
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in Bridge/Highway Engineering and/or Construction, Quality Inspection, Structural Steel Fabrication, and/or an acceptable related field (Materials QA/QC Inspection experience preferred)
- Demonstrated experience managing people and projects or project tasks, preferably in a construction related field
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Welding Engineering or a related field of study - OR an equivalent combination of experience and education
- AWS CWI certification, EIT, or ASNT Level II NDT is a plus
