We are seeking a Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI) to perform inspection on bridge/highway projects throughout Allegheny County.

Requirements are as follows:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• A combination of one or more of the following certifications:
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1
  • PennDOT Concrete Field Technician Certification
  • NICET Level II or higher in the concentration “Highway Construction”
  • NECEPT Bituminous Field Technician Certification
• Minimum two (2) years of transportation, highway or bridge construction inspection experience
• Previous experience working as a TCI for PennDOT preferred
• Or an acceptable combination of experience/education/technical certifications 
• Reasonable proximity to Allegheny County
• Access and ability to operate a personal computer utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel, the internet, and email
• Valid driver’s license
• Authorized to work in the United States, sponsorship not available

Physical Requirements:

• Physical activity includes: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, grasping, talking, hearing, and standing for sustained periods of time
• Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently
• Visual acuity requirements include color and depth perception, and field of vision
